Customise and Control Your Email
Have it your way, stay in complete control of your email.
We know that not every one likes the same things to work in the same ways, so we give you many options to control how your email functions.
From changing your password to out-of-office notifications and customising your anti-spam settings, we've made it easy to change your email accounts to work the way you want.
Passwords
Login and change your password any time you need to, go on, it's good practice.
Automatically Organise Your Email
You can set up rules to handle your messages at the time they are delivered to you.
You can make the rules as simple or as complicated as you like. For example, you may decide any emails from a particular client are put in to a special mailbox or forwarded on to one of your colleagues.
The rules you set are applied as soon as the email is delivered, meaning that your messages are always organised no matter how you access your account.
Out of Office Notification
Going on holiday or away on a course? Your email account can automatically notify people that you are away by sending them a message you have customised. For example you can let people know the date that you will return to the office and who to contact with urgent requests in your absence.
Forwarding
All emails from one address can automatically be forwarded to another email address.
Perhaps a member of your team has left, you are worried that clients will still email them and don't want to have to check by logging in to their old account as well as your own. Setting the account to forward means that all messages will automatically be re-directed.
Anti Spam Settings
We use the same anti-spam system for all of our hum email and so we know the system is accurate. However you can, at any time, change the settings for your account.
If you really hate the sight of spam, you can turn the dial up and make the system block messages as aggressively as you want.
Worried that you'll miss out on something? No problem, you can dial the settings down to make system more permissive.
White-list and black-list email addresses: peace of mind that messages from clients, suppliers and family will always reach you (or not!).
Choose to sort your spam messages in to a special mailbox or have them deleted instantly.
We believe we have chosen the ideal settings but we only use these as a default and allow you to make your own choice.
Anti Virus and Banned Files
Perhaps your line of work means that you want people to send you viruses, for example you work in IT Support. We wouldn't recommend it but you may turn off virus checking for your emails should you feel inclined to.
We block people sending Windows Applications (.exe files), amongst others, by default. We do this because it is a common way that trojan-horses, ad-ware and other mal-ware make it on to a person's computer. This might not be practical for every one and so you can choose to allow all kinds of file attachments on your emails.
Aliases
If you have a number of online identities that you want to mange through one email account, aliases will help you do it.
An alias email address isn't a real address, but rather a "fake" address with no inbox. Any emails to an alias address will be delivered to the email account of your choosing.
Aliases can even work for entire domains. If you have both .co.uk and .com addresses for your company, we can make all email sent to your .com addresses arrive in your .co.uk email accounts.
